The Minister of Information and Culture,Alhaji Lai Mohammed has denied media reports where he was quoted as saying that "President Muhammadu Buhari is to Work from home
Making the clarifications in a statement issued in Abuja on Wednesday by his Special Adviser,Mr. Segun Adeyemi, the minister said the headline as it appeared in some section of the media ,'Buhari to now Work from home'- Lai Mohammed, was wrong and a misrepresentation of facts. Adeyemi said what the Minister said was “the President only decided to work from home today, not that he has decided to work from home henceforth”.
He quoted the section of the Minister's media briefing as follows:
”He (the President) wanted to rest today".
“He asked the Vice President to preside over TODAY’S meeting.
“In addition, he also asked that all his files be taken home to him and he will be working from home today".
The news of the President's absence at yesterday's FEC meeting, the third consecutive one he has failed to attend, continues to fuel speculations about his ill-health.
